During Impact Startup Fest, DCHI will host the DCHI Annual Event where challenges, opportunities, innovators, and humanitarians come together to share what is going in this space. The Dutch Coalition of Humanitarian Innovation is comprised of more than 300 partners who share the common aim of increasing impact end efficiency in the humanitarian sector by scaling relevant innovative solutions from other sectors to the humanitarian sector. This year’s theme “Opening Up, Growing by Working Together” is a dare to all participants to open up to each other so that we open up a huge resource of solutions which already exist in the world.
We have a plenary programme where all 150 participants will come together and meet each other and be inspired by special keynote speakers: Suzanne Laszlo, Director of DCHI Board and Director of Unicef, Chojnacka from GoodUp and Martine Bergwerff, responsible for Innovation at the Dutch Relief Alliance. The closing of the day will be by Minister Sigrid Kaag about the importance of innovation and working together in the humanitarian sector.
Program of the DCHI event
The program is aimed at all the different types of members of the DCHI Coalition, to inspire and inform them what is going on. There are four break-out sessions being hosted:
- From Pilot to Scale in the Humanitarian Sector – answering questions about How do you Scale that Great Idea in the humanitarian context
- New Business Models for the Humanitarian Sector – looking at different models in which humanitarian operations can exist using different types of business models
- Public-Private Collaboration – how do you work together with unlikely allies
- Finance for Innovations – what financing opportunities exist and how can they be reached?
Roundabout hosts connected to DCHI
Parallel to these interesting and interactive break-out sessions, more than 20 DCHI partners are hosting a Roundabout Networking table, so if you want to get up close and personal, this would be the way to go, share your expertise, pose your questions. Everything is possible!
Throughout the Day participants of the event can get to know partners and eight partners are special as they are in the running for the Best Humanitarian Innovation Award of 2018!!!
The Public can vote on them and at the end of the day, the winner will be announced!
